GSC International 305-1 Cartesian Diver Apparatus with Cylinder
The Cartesian Diver Apparatus is a visual demonstration of buoyancy and atmospheric pressure. A 2.5″ tall, hand-blown glass Cartesian diver rises and falls in a column of water as the pressure is increased and decreased. A red band around the neck of the diver helps make the diver visible during the experiment. Pressure can be increased by compressing a rubber sheet stretched over a water filled cylinder. The apparatus set includes the following:
• 1 Cartesian Diver (#305)
• 1 Hydrometer Tube, borosilicate glass, 350ml capacity, 40mm diameter, 355mm height, ungraduated (#305-1-C)
• 1 Rubber Sheet (#305-1-RS)
• 1 Rubber band
